LANCIA FULVIA RALLYE 1600 HF1 – GR. 4 ex-WORKS TO B51446 Chassis 10161027 – Var. 001016

TO B 51446 is one of the first 4 cars built for the Lancia Corse department with all the specifications of Group 4 – Annex J. It is the sixth Fanalone built and the third prepared in Gr 4 by the Lancia Corse Department. Of these first three factory cars, it is the only one that remains and it is in perfectly original and unrestored condition. It is the Fulvia which has won the most victories among all those of the “ Reparto Corse Lancia ”. This is a unique piece of rallying history.

TO B 51446 only participated in international races of the international rally and speed championship (former name of the World Championship). She raced for 4 years in competition for the Lancia factory and had 4 overall victories and 8 rankings among the top 5. It was driven by Munari-Balestrieri-Kallstrom-Fall-Barbasio-Ireland, but above all by Simo Lampinen who won two overall victories with this car. She also raced for the Scuderia Grifone of Genoa for 2 seasons, with the registration number GE 569523.

 
  • August 19/23 1969 – 84 hours of the Nurburgring – Le Marathon de la Route

    • Crew : Ireland – Paganelli – Balestrieri
    • Retired after 12 hours, after leaving the road with Paganelli at the wheel.
  • October 16/19 1969 – Rally of Spain

    • Crew : Kallstrom – Haggbon
    • Overall victory
  • November 15/19 1969 – RAC Rally

    • Crew : Munari – Davenport
    • Retired due to a technical problem, after having been in the lead after the first 12 special stages.
  • January 16 1970 – Monte-Carlo Rally

    • Crew : Fall – Sodano
    • Retired due to a technical problem (broken left suspension), 8th overall at the time of retirement.
  • February 11 1970 – Rally of Sweden

    • Crew : Lampinen – Davenport
    • Retired. Note : before the race, the car replaced the Fulvia TO B51443 whose engine did not start.
  • May 3/7 1970 – Tulip Rally

    • Crew : Barbasio – Mannucci
    • 3rd overall. The car was in the lead… but the crew took the wrong road and consequently lost 2 places.
  • May 22/24 1970 – Rally Wiesbaden

    • Crew : Barbasio – Mannucci
    • Retired after leaving the road
  • October 1/4 1970 – Rallye of Portugal (TAP Rally)

    • Crew : Lampinen – Davenport
    • Overall victory
  • November 14/18 1970 – RAC Rally

    • Crew : Lampinen – Davenport
    • Retired, due to technical problem (broken gearbox).
  • March 14/17 1971 – Rallye of Italy – Rallye San Remo

    • Crew : Barbasio – Sodano
    • 3rd place overall.
  • April 24/25 1971 – Rallye 999 Minuti

    • Crew : Barbasio – Sodano
    • 3rd place overall.
  • June 3/5 1971 – Rally of the 4 Regions

    • Crew : Lampinen – Davenport
    • Overall victory

After her career with the factory, she was sold to Amilcare Balestrieri on September 27 1972.
